A1 Level (Discovery)

DELF A1 highlights the first knowledge in the French language. It is the most basic level at which a language is used, called the “discovery” stage. At this stage, the learner can interact in a simple way: he/she can speak about him/herself and his/her immediate environment.

A2 Level (Elementary)

Your level is A2 on the European scale (CEFR). It’s an ELEMENTARY level, you have some vocabulary and can get simple things done in French. Lots of people in the UK leave school at this level. It’s a good beginning and will definitely help you buy a beer when you are in France!

B1 level (Threshold)

Level B1, which is sometimes referred to as the ‘Threshold’ or ‘Breakthrough’ stage, is the point at which a French speaker moves away from the most simplistic language usage and is able to cope with most of the situations they are likely to encounter when traveling around a French-speaking country.

B2 Level (Fluent speaker)

You are at ease to communicate in a spontaneous way. You can work in French and there will be not hiccups in your communication with French people. You can express yourself in a clear and detailed way on a wide range of topics.
